By Culture Hub Middle East Staff
The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah is set to unveil a brand-new culinary collaboration with esteemed Chef Ferdinando Bernardi at the resort’s signature restaurant, Aquario, from 24 to 26 March 2023. The Rimini-born Italian chef first started his culinary journey at his father’s restaurant, Tramontana, and found himself in charge of the pizzeria at the young age of 13.
Since then he has joined hands with many international restaurants such as Julie’s Restaurant in London, Esposito in Lyon, Pane Caldo Restaurant in Chicago, and Moonshadows in Malibu, California. A testament to his growing prowess, the chef has also orchestrated the opening of Oliver’s Osteria in Laguna Beach, California.

He embarked on his quest to showcase Italian haute cuisine on Spanish soil in 2015 with the launch of Orobianco, which received its first Michelin star in 2019, making it the only Italian restaurant in Spain to be given this title.
Chef Bernardi’s gastronomic philosophy is driven by curating culinary delicacies focused on contemporary Italian techniques and flavours using local ingredients to complement the freshest seafood, making him the perfect guest chef to feature at Aquario, which is known for its panoramic ocean vistas and responsibly sourced seafood concepts.

Executive Sous Chef Davide Marzullo and Chef Fernandino have merged the experience of their Italian heritage, and appreciation for reimagined Mediterranean cuisine resulting in a handcrafted menu of delicious delicacies.
The menu promises a renewed taste of Italy, where guests can indulge in the freshest seafood.
