Where The Wild West Meets Dubai: Rodeo Drive Reimagined At New Dining Hotspot

Saddle up for Dubai’s boldest new dining and entertainment destination as Rodeo Drive Ibn Battuta Gate redefines the American experience with fire-grilled flavour and immersive design next month

This August, Dubai’s ever-evolving dining and entertainment scene gets a larger-than-life addition as Rodeo Drive gallops into Ibn Battuta Gate — not just as a restaurant, but as a 14,000-square-foot multisensory experience.

Set within the Oaks Hotel, the newly minted venue marks the next chapter for the beloved American concept, now reimagined on a scale the city has yet to see.

At the heart of Rodeo Drive lies a rebellious reinterpretation of the American West — where flame-licked steaks, California cool, and retro arcade nostalgia collide under one roof. Helmed by Chef Walter Melo, the culinary programme boldly rides the line between Tex-Mex authenticity and indulgent American comfort.

Think brisket with a smoky depth, open-flame grilled steaks, vibrant tacos, and hearty Cali-Mex favourites — all served up beside an eye-catching live fire grill pit that sets the stage (and appetite) ablaze.

But Rodeo Drive is more than its menu. It’s a playground for all generations. Adults can unwind with imaginative cocktails, beer towers, and mood-setting DJ sets, while families find reprieve in a dedicated kids’ zone featuring educational play, crafts, and curated Rodeo Drive merchandise — complete with a full-time nanny on hand.

“With live entertainment, arcade games, quality dining, and a children’s play area, Rodeo Drive offers a complete experience for families, friends, and nightlife enthusiasts alike,” says Rahul Shetty, Managing Director at Peninsula Hospitality.

The space, designed by Hiren Ganatra of Collab Company, unfolds across six immersive zones — from a velvet-draped speakeasy hidden behind a bookshelf, to a neon-lit arcade and a show-stopping Broadway-style stage where live acts and DJs bring the venue to life. Guests can take a spin on the mechanical bull, dive into East Coast cool at the New York-inspired bar, or lounge in the Mobster-themed Mancave that evokes old-world glamour with a touch of intrigue.

As Dubai’s westward expansion continues — with Palm Jebel Ali, Al Furjan, and Jebel Ali Hills on the rise — Rodeo Drive Ibn Battuta Gate positions itself as a landmark destination that captures the energy of a night out and the warmth of a family gathering. It seats 305 guests, but offers far more than a seat at the table — it offers a stage for unforgettable stories.

Rodeo Drive Ibn Battuta Gate opens August 2025. Dust off your boots — and bring the kids.
